NunCraft! Making Ornaments with the Sisters! Saturday, December 12 from 6-7:30PM PST.
We made ornaments out of lids! Penelope taught us how to make an ornament out of a lid and drag detritus.
Materials for Penelope’s ornament include: lids, hot glue gun, scissors, paper clips, cute paper, photos, glitter, glue, sparky things. Use whatever you have! Use wrapping paper and greeting cards if you want a holiday-specific look.
The Portland Sisters are celebrating 15 years in 2020! Thank you to our local community for creating videos for our virtual PAAAANK event on October 17. We saw amazing work from The Northwest Queer Chorus, Clare Apparently, Whiskey Rick, Honey “Granny Bea” Hart, Zora Phoenix, Lola Coquette and the Sisters!

In April 2020, The Portland Sisters donated 6K to six local non-profits! We wanted to help now when the money is needed most. The Sisters decided to forego our regular grant process for 2020 and donate money directly and immediately to organizations helping our community. We solicited suggestions from our members, and have donated to these six amazing organizations who each received $1000 grants from the Portland Sisters! Please join us in celebrating these wonderful non-profit organizations and thanking them for all that they do!
SAGE Metro Portland, a program of Friendly House neighborhood center, works to enhance the lives of older LGBT+ community members through education, advocacy, outreach and resource development.
The Portland Animal Welfare (PAW) Team saves lives, alleviates suffering, and keeps pets and people together by providing free veterinary care to the pets of people who are experiencing homelessness or extreme poverty.

Outside In provides critical medical and behavioral health services to adults and youth populations, and basic needs to youth experiencing homelessness.
SMYRC provides a safe and supervised space where sexual and gender minority youth can receive support, resources, and the skills needed to lead healthy, productive lives.
