At our 16th Anniversary party, we gave out five $1,000 grants to five local nonprofits. Read about them below!
Rosehip Medic Collective
rosehipmedics.org — Volunteer Street Medics and health care activists in Portland, Oregon. They provide first aid and emergency care at protests, direct actions, and other sites of resistance and struggle.
HIV Day Center-Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon
emoregon.org/hiv-services/ — The HIV Day Center is a community center for low income people living with HIV/AIDS. The Day Center provides hot breakfasts and lunches five days a week.
Outside the Frame
outsidetheframe.org — Offers a model educational and vocational program where young people create films about issues that matter to them and share them with the public. Participants are 16-26 years old and most have experienced homelessness or housing insecurity.
Black & Beyond the Binary Collective
blackbeyondthebinarycollective.org — Builds the leadership, healing, and safety for Black – African transgender, queer, nonbinary, and intersex (TQNI+) Oregonians.
Hand Up Project
handupproject.org — The program starts by addressing the most basic human need, food. Pantry locations are focused in BIPOC and the LGBTQIA+ community and create a welcoming and supportive environment.
