Books have helped people for a millennium but now books need our aid. Vital and important books are under attack and being banned because they contain knowledge that can free our minds of prejudices and bigotry. Join us as we spend a day highlighting banned books, especially queer books, on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Belmont Books PDX. It’s Not A Toga Party…
It’s an underwear party! A ritual spring fete featuring jello shots, PDX PAH modeling underwear, a raffle where you can win adult themed Easter baskets and other prizes, music by Ursabomb and just the best dang time you’ve seen in a couple years. Enjoy a variety of fabulous Easter bonnets with glittery flair and then bid on your faves to help us raise funds for our grants program. There’ll be jokes, delight, fashion, and big hats! What’s more to love than that?

We love any reason to say hello to you! So we’re ecstatic to tell you that we will be marching in the Portland Mardi Gras parade. The parade happens March 1st (that’s a Tuesday!) at 7 pm on Mississippi Ave. We hope if you’re available that we might have a chance to wave at you, bat our eyelashes, blow you some glittery kisses, and help create more joy for all.
